In this tour I will take you on a journey around London's unique Rock and Roll history. From the Beatles to the Stones, from Ziggy Stardust to Abbey Road.
We will see locations where struggling bands began their journeys to become Rock Gods. We will visit the location of the former Trident studios. This is where the Beatles recorded much of the White Album. We will see the Blue Plaque for David Bowie. We will visit the pub where David Bowie would court the press. The same pub that after a conversation with their manager the Clash wrote ‘Complete Control’ We will see the location of the former Marquee club and find out why Eric Clapton is called Slow Hands. And WHO came up with the name Led Zeppelin?
We will visit Tin Pan Alley. The place to come in London if you want to buy that guitar. We will see where the Rolling Stones recorded their first album. We will also here about the accidental meeting in Charing Cross Road that led to the Beatles writing the Rolling stones hit ’I Wanna Be Your Man’
We will also visit Carnaby Street and the Kinks dedicated followers of fashion. We will visit Heddon Street and hear about the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. And maybe have your photo taken in that red telephone box?
We will see where the Beatles played their last gig and Jimi Hendrix his first (in London).
We then can travel on a short journey to St Johns Wood and visit the Abbey Road Crossing and even sign your names on the Abbey Road studio wall.
